td jakes nairobi - Sh75,000 VVIP Tickets Sold Out for TD Jakes Summit in NairobiA little over a month ago, it was announced that VVIP tickets for an exclusive dinner with American televangelist Thomas Dexter Jakes Senior would cost Sh75000.

The news made headlines as a section of Kenyans frowned upon the price as being too expensive. Well, a section of wealthy Kenyans has splashed the cash given that all the VVIP tickets to the Soar Africa leadership and Entrepreneurship Summit have been sold out.

The inaugural SOAR Summit included an exclusive fireside chat with Bishop TD Jakes on September 5, followed by a full-day conference today, September 6 at the Kasarani Indoor Arena.

“The VVIP tickets have already been sold out but the VIP are still available,” said Ms Edna Kiarie from a public relations firm contracted for the summit.

Bishop TD Jakes ise the keynote speakers alongside Econet Group Chairman Strive Masiyiwa and Head of Facebook Africa Nunu Ntshingilia.

At a press briefing held at Kempinski Hotel, Nairobi on Thursday, TD Jakes said he was delighted to return to Kenya for the second time after more than 10 years.

“I love this county and its people. It is wonderful to be back,” TD Jakes said.

He said he was glad to be part of the summit, the first of its kind in the region. The televangelist also recounted how he started his business.

“I was first the CEO of TD Jakes Enterprises before becoming a pastor of the Potter’s House. And, TD Jakes Enterprises has all along been a part and parcel of Potter’s House.

“As a CEO of TD Jakes Enterprise, I understand the importance of business, how to do it and how to survive best so as to enhance our lifestyles beyond spirituality.”

Jakes also revealed that he has published a book titled Soar, noting that the summit was coincidental with the book launch.

“I have also authored a book called Soar and the book centred around entrepreneurship was inspired by realisation we are suffering not only spiritually but practically,” he said.

“Building businesses is also part of spirituality. I look forward to engage in a conversation that will help in growing Kenya,” he added.

VIP delegates will part with Sh50,000 while those with neither the VVIP or VIP status will pay Sh25,000.
