80mn households to be connected to power by 2030 by energy firm SchneiderMarch 6, 2020
NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 6 – Energy and automation digital
solutions provider Schneider Electric says it aims to have 80 million people
with electricity by 2030.
The company, which has provided energy solutions to more than 25
million people in the last 10 years, says it also hopes to train one million
people and 10,000 entrepreneurs by 2025.
The company’s Vice President for Access to Energy for Middle East
and Africa Olivier Jacquet says the company has invested in 20 companies and trained
more than 250,000 people since 2019.
“At Schneider Electric, our role is to make sure that ‘Life is On’
for everyone, everywhere, at every moment. As such, sustainability is at the
heart of our company strategy,” said Edouard Heripret, General Manager, East
Africa at Schneider Electric.
They made the company’s projections during the launch of the latest
version of its EcoStruxure software in the East Africa region.
According to Jacquet, the system offers customers an affordable,
flexible and open architecture, and platform and improves profitability and
efficiency of off-grid installations with data-driven analysis.

to the offerings from Schneider Electric’s Access to Energy program. It will
